Banana Cake

Here's another old recipe I dug up. This was given to me years ago by a teacher friend.

Banana Cake

3/4 cup butter

1 cup sugar

Cream the butter and sugar together.

Then add:

3 eggs

3 cup flour

1 1/2 tsp. soda

4 bananas, mashed

1 tsp. vanilla

6 T. buttermilk

1 cup chopped nuts

Mix all together. Pour into a 9 x 13 greased/floured pan. Bake in a 350 degree preheated oven for about 25 - 35 minutes.

After the cake has cooled, add the frosting.

Frosting recipe:

8 oz. creamed cheese
1 stick butter
1 tsp. vanilla
1 box powdered sugar (about 4 cups)
1/3 to 1/2 cup chopped nuts
